The Initial Opportunity Map that allows user to explore potential opportunities for your organization’s innovations. The map employs two key dimensions that have been determined to be strategically important to the project based on a thorough understanding of the trends and other changes that are occurring. Various participants operating in that space are depicted on the map. The map depicts ones organisation in relation to others and can aid in speculation about where opportunities for movement exist for thier organisation/ project. This method assists in the early stages of an innovation project in exploring the fundamental question. How it works- •

  • Identify key dimensions.

  • Create a map and plot industry participants.

  • Discuss the map and identify opportunity spaces.

  • Speculate on innovation opportunities.

  • Visualizes information

  • Facilitates comparison

  • Reveals opportunities

  • Defines direction

  • • Trends relevant to the industry to be considered

Pyocyanin (from mint green to turquoise), Prodigiosin (from orangish-pink to purpleish-pink), and Violacein (shades of Blueish- purple to plurple). Microbial pigments

have a lot of potential in the fashion sector since they can rapidly adapt to trends. At the moment, the project is on the brink of speculative design, but it will bear fruit in the following 50-100 years. - This design research process aided in bridging ideas across fashion, fabrics, colours, and science. - As study is performed, the database formed an ocean of knowledge. -This mapping approach aids in understanding and speculating on future design ideas that are sustainable and circular in nature. During the process, mind mapping was used to organise ideas and move them around. - spreading out - then going deeper into each idea/thought independently
